Directions To Las Palmeras Inn, Otavalo
Las Palmeras Inn is located less than 2 hours north of Quito and 5 minutes from Otavalo by car or bus. We can be reached directly from Quito 's national and international airports, on the reconstructed Panamerican Highway . The traditional pre- and post-expedition ¨Quito overnight¨ is no longer necessary.

By Car
Take the Panamerican Highway north out of Quito, and follow Otavalo/Ibarra signs for 1.5 hours. After entering Otavalo, continue through four traffic lights (about 2km) with Otavalo on your right. After the 4th traffic light, look for the “Las Palmeras de Quichinche” sign under the red PORTA sign and take the first left turn. Continue for 2 Km, following the signs for Las Palmeras.
By Bus
Buses leave from the main terminal in Quito (Terminal Terrestre) to Otavalo and Ibarra approximately every 10 minutes ($2 per person). Get off at the bus terminal in Otavalo and then either take a taxi ($3) or catch a bus (18¢) to Quichinche, which leaves every 30 minutes. You will see signs for Las Palmeras on the right side of the road. Get off the bus at the fork in the road. Walk left, about 200 meters to reach our gates.
